21HOW IS YOUR FLEET MAINTAINED?
In our opinion, there aren’t too many things better than a totally dialed bicycle: we love that our bikes run as smoothly as possible every time. All bikes undergo a tune and safety check before every rental. Our mechanics have decades of experience fixing and maintaining bicycles, and love what they do!
22WHAT IF I GET A FLAT TIRE OR A MECHANICAL?
We pride ourselves in keeping our bikes in tip-top shape -- unfortunately, flats can happen. If you have a flat tire or mechanical issue, stop riding and move a safe distance off the trail or road. We have provided a flat kit on all of our bicycles, and a card with instructions for some repairs as well as links to Youtube videos teaching some repairs. If you need assistance with a flat or mechanical issue, Wheel Wranglers may be able to help with road/trail-side assistance for an additional fee for service.
Next, we ask you call us and we will advise of next steps to get you back on the road or trail. Our shop phone number is located on each bike so you can call us for help.
23WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept all major forms of credit/debit card, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Our delivery technicians always appreciate being shown a little gratitude for their great service too ;)
24WHAT IF THE BIKE IS STOLEN OR DAMAGED?
You are financially responsible for your rental bike and equipment from the time it is dropped off to you until it is picked up. We offer an optional “Warranty and Service Plan” that covers trails damages up to $800 and is available for purchase at the time of your rental booking and is highly recommended. This insurance covers bike damage which occurred during riding. It does not cover theft or damage as a result of transporting bikes improperly.
25WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I'M IN AN ACCIDENT?
Your health and safety is our top priority. If you are involved in an accident, you should seek appropriate medical assistance first, as well as contact local law enforcement. At your first reasonable opportunity, you should contact Wheel Wranglers for additional information and next steps.
26DO YOU ALLOW BIKES OUT WHEN IT'S RAINING?
If it is just “misting” then yes, that light rain is firming up the dirt and making the ride even better! If it has been down pouring through the night and still raining hard the next morning, there is a good chance that we will not. There are trail systems that have a lot of clay, and a lot of hard work went into building these trails. Riding when it is too wet can create ruts which can #lastforever. Also, it has been said that “It goes on like Peanut Butter and hardens like concrete”. Your bike won’t run properly and no one wants that on their bikes!
27WHAT ABOUT CANCELING MY RESERVATION FOR INCLEMENT WEATHER?
Wyoming has some seriously beautiful summers, and the average weather is sunny, blue skies, mid-to-high 70s, and maybe a chance of a quick late afternoon thunderstorm. If you experience weather-related conditions you feel are severe and wish to cancel, please check with us regarding our Severe Weather Conditions Policy. There may be cancellation fees involved if you cancel and the weather doesn’t meet Severe Weather definitions according to our policy.
Severe Weather & Inclement Weather Policy
The Severe Weather Warning Policy provides cancellation in the event that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and/or National Weather Service issues or maintains a severe weather watch or warning within 48 hours of a rental and reimbursement of any rental payments and fees if already incurred. Termination of the bike rental to avoid possible injury is recommended when severe weather threatens the area where the rented bike is being ridden. People must seek shelter during such conditions.
The Inclement Weather Policy includes weather that may not be a severe weather watch or warning issued by NOAA, but may render unsafe riding conditions including but not limited to extended snow or rainfall, ice, lightening, or extended cold temperatures.
Because it may be difficult to determine if the weather is severe enough to necessitate terminating the bike rental, it is best to err on the side of caution. In other words, if in doubt, Wheel Wranglers will assist with weather assessment and termination if necessary.
If the renter declines those services, the renter understands that it is their responsibility to be aware of changing weather conditions and to exercise their best judgment. The Renter should become thoroughly familiar with weather-related bike safety procedures whether or not they decide to retain the services of Wheel Wranglers for bike rentals.
Either party canceling because of Weather will need to provide proof of Severe Weather or Inclement Weather conditions for the Rental or they could be charged for improper cancellation.
28WHAT'S YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Please review our roundemup@wheelwranglers.com or 307-690-2799 if there are extraordinary circumstances that require a cancellation.
29E-BIKES!
All Wheel Wranglers e-bikes are Class 1 Pedal Assist e-bikes.
Class 1 e-bikes are equipped with a motor that provides assistance to the rider only whole pedaling. The motor does not provide assistance when the bicycle reach 20 mph.
Wheel Wranglers DOES NOT have Class 2 (throttle assisted, governed to speeds of 20 mph) or Class 2 (throttle assisted, governed to speeds of 28 mph) in our fleet.
Minimum age of 16 years old to ride any Wheel Wranglers e-bike. Riders under the age of 18 must have direct parent or guardian supervision at all times.
We feel strongly that Class 1 e-bikes are the most appropriate e-bike for our community pathway system.
BICYCLE SAFETY TIPS
WHEN YOU ARE RIDING ON THE ROAD:
- Helmets must be worn by all riders at all times!
- Obey all traffic rules as you would if you were in an automobile.
- ALWAYS Ride on the RIGHT.
- Ride in bicycle lanes or in the street. NEVER ride on the sidewalk.
- You must yield to pedestrians in crosswalks.
- Be cautious at intersections.
- Always ride at least a car door’s width away from parked vehicles. Doors can open suddenly so be prepared for the worst.
- Never wear headphones while riding.
- Ride SINGLE FILE on roads with traffic.
- Use hand signals when turning or stopping.
- When approaching others from behind, give a friendly shout-out to let them know you are there. Words like “behind you” or “on your left” work great!
- If you stop, move off the road and well out of the way of traffic.
ON THE TRAILS:
- Bring the right gear.
- Always wear a helmet and all appropriate safety gear for the conditions.
- Always stay on the trail.
- Hikers, horses, and uphill traveling mountain bikers have right of way. Always.
- Ride within your ability.
- Be careful and conscious of others. A friendly greeting works best and won’t startle others.
- Should you encounter wildlife, give them adequate space. They shouldn’t bother you unless provoked.
